At 11: 35 on May 14th, a small finless porpoise about 40 cm long ran aground on the beach of Nanyangzhou in Linxiang section of Yueyang, the Yangtze River. The law enforcement officers of Hunan Yueyang Maritime Safety Administration Linxiang Marine Department cooperated with the police of Lucheng Police Station of Changhang Public Security Yueyang Branch for emergency rescue.
Law enforcement officers carefully examined the body of the small finless porpoise and found no obvious trauma, so they gently pushed it to the deep water area. Due to the heavy wind and waves on the surface of the Yangtze River that day, the small finless porpoise was slapped to the shallow water area.
