[Deep Science Popularization] Headache, nausea, vomiting, beware of glioma coming to you.

Headache is headache, which is very common as a clinical symptom. Almost everyone has experienced headache. According to statistics, 30%-40% people go to the neurology clinic because of headache. Epidemiological investigation shows that about 70% people have had a headache, and 20% people go to see a doctor because of it. There are many reasons for headache, as long as it can stimulate the head pain receptors, it can cause headache symptoms. Clinically, diseases such as neurosis, migraine, upper respiratory tract infection and glioma can all cause headaches.
Recently, there was a news report that someone went to the hospital for examination because of recurrent dizziness and headache. It turned out to be a brain tumor the size of a goose egg, which was confirmed by pathology after operation as a high-grade glioma.
Then, in normal times, it seems that it is only a symptom of simple dizziness and headache. Why is there the possibility of glioma? How should we prevent and identify glioma in advance? Let’s get to know each other!
Glioma, what is glioma, and how is glioma formed?
  1. What is glioma?
Gliomas are tumors that originate from glial cells in the epithelial tissue of the brain., is the most common primary brain malignant tumor, accounting for about of central nervous system tumors.40%-50%.
The World Health Organization classifies brain gliomas into four grades, I, II, III and IV. Among them, Grade I and II are low-grade gliomas, and Grade III and IV are high-grade gliomas. The higher the grade, the higher the degree of malignancy. The treatment methods and prognosis of different grades of gliomas are quite different. The survival rate of high-grade glioma is low, while the 5-year survival rate of low-grade glioma can reach 80% on the whole.
Gliomas are most common in people aged 20-50.The incidence of brain gliomas in children accounts for 1%-3% of children’s systemic malignant tumors. In China, the annual incidence of brain gliomas is about 50-80/100,000, and the incidence has gradually increased in recent years. As the most common primary brain malignant tumor, its malignant degree is high.
Clinically, glioma has the characteristics of low cure rate, high recurrence and high mortality. This is related to the special location structure and treatment method of tumor growth.
Due to the invasive growth of glioma and the complexity of brain structure and function, in order to ensure the patients’ better neurological function after operation, a considerable number of operations can not guarantee radical resection of glioma lesions.
At the same time, the blood-brain barrier in brain tissue, on the one hand, prevents some harmful substances from entering the brain tissue from the blood, on the other hand, it also prevents chemotherapy drugs from entering the brain tissue or tumor tissue, so most chemotherapy drugs have insufficient effective blood concentration after reaching the brain tumor area, and the curative effect is not good. Radiotherapy can’t cure glioma because of the difference of sensitivity of tumor cells to radiation and the damage of radiation to surrounding normal brain tissue.
  1. Is brain cancer a glioma?
The two are inclusive, not all brain cancers are gliomas, but brain cancers are a general term for malignant brain tumors.Brain cancer is malignant brain tumor, including primary brain tumor arising from brain parenchyma and secondary brain tumor transferred from other malignant tumors to the brain. Malignant brain tumors include glioma, brain metastasis and lymphoma.
Glioma, what is glioma, and how is glioma formed?
  Second, how is glioma formed?
At present, the pathogenesis of glioma is not clear. Epidemiological studies show that the occurrence of glioma may be related to family genetic susceptibility, eating habits, drinking, ionizing radiation, electromagnetic fields, mobile phones and other factors.
  1. Familial genetic susceptibility
A study in northern Sweden found that about 5% of the first-degree relatives (parents, children and siblings) of glioma patients have a significantly increased probability of developing glioma, while the incidence of other types of brain tumors does not increase the probability.
  2. Unreasonable eating habits
Excessive intake of bacon, cooked ham, fried food and bacon and other foods, this kind of pickled food contains more nitroso compounds, and nitroso compounds are a class of carcinogens that have been identified at present, which are highly carcinogenic to nerves. Therefore, long-term use of too many such foods will lead to an increase in the risk of glioma. It should be noted that if the mother eats too much preserved food such as bacon during pregnancy, the risk of glioma in her children will increase accordingly.
  3. Smoking
Many studies have shown that smoking is obviously related to the occurrence of various tumors. Tobacco (cigarette) will produce hundreds of carcinogens in the process of burning, and these harmful substances will significantly increase the risk of some tumors after being inhaled by the human body for a long time. In recent years, the research on the relationship between smoking and glioma has begun to attract attention. Because tobacco contains some carcinogens that can penetrate the blood-brain barrier, such as nitroso compounds, smoking has been considered as a potential risk factor for glioma.
Animal experiments show that the nitrosamine mixed smoke produced by tobacco (cigarette) during combustion is a strong carcinogen, and long-term effects can significantly increase the risk of brain tumors in rodents and monkeys.
Glioma, what is glioma, and how is glioma formed?
  4. Occupational and environmental factors
The incidence of glioma in some workers who have been exposed to plastic and rubber products for a long time and exposed to arsenic, mercury and petroleum products is significantly higher than that in the general population.
  5. Ionizing radiation
At present, it is generally agreed that ionizing radiation will lead to the incidence of brain tumors, and radiotherapy is closely related to the occurrence of glioma.
Mobile phones can also produce ionizing radiation, so will using mobile phones lead to glioma? Most studies believe that using mobile phones does not directly lead to glioma. However, some people think that if people answer the phone unilaterally for a long time, their risk of brain tumor will increase by about one time. Although it is not certain that the use of mobile phones will directly lead to glioma, it is still necessary to control the use time of mobile phones.
  6. Effects of diseases
It is considered that craniocerebral injury is a potential risk factor for glioma. Brain trauma will lead to gliosis in the injured area, which will increase the incidence of glioma in the injured area, but this conclusion still needs further research.
In addition, some infectious diseases, HIV, Toxoplasma infection, etc., are all related to the onset of glioma, but it needs further confirmation.
Glioma, what is glioma, and how is glioma formed?
  3. What are the symptoms of glioma?
Clinically, the main manifestations of glioma are increased intracranial pressure, neurological and cognitive dysfunction and seizures.
  1, early and middle symptoms
The symptoms of glioma in the early and middle stages are basically the same, mainly manifested as seizures, personality changes, unilateral or bilateral hearing and vision decline, and some patients will also have dysphagia and other manifestations.
The incidence of epilepsy is about 30%, which is mostly caused by the direct stimulation or compression of glioma tumor. If the tumor grows in the motor area and its vicinity, the incidence of epilepsy is high.
  2. Late symptoms
In the late stage of glioma, the patient has persistent dizziness and headache, which is gradually aggravated. Due to the increase of intracranial pressure, patients will have typical manifestations of jet vomiting, accompanied by changes in consciousness such as irritability and drowsiness. With the progress of the disease, patients will have symptoms such as aphasia, hemiplegia and blindness on one side, and in severe cases, they will be in a coma.
Glioma, what is glioma, and how is glioma formed?
  3. Other symptoms
In addition, because of the different location of glioma, its influence on local brain tissue function is also different, resulting in different symptoms. For example, gliomas in the optic nerve area can cause vision loss and blindness in patients; Patients with glioma near the central sulcus will have obvious motor and sensory disorders; It is difficult for patients with glioma in language area to express and understand language.
Although glioma is a malignant tumor, the time of the above-mentioned symptoms is different because of the different malignant degree of glioma of different grades. For example, patients with low-grade gliomas often take months or even years to get sick, while patients with high-grade gliomas can get sick in weeks.
  4. What are the treatments for glioma?
At present,The treatment of glioma adopts comprehensive treatment, mainly surgical resection, combined with radiotherapy, chemotherapy and other treatment methods.
Surgical resection can safely remove the tumor to the maximum extent, effectively relieve the clinical symptoms of patients, prolong the survival time, and make clear the detection and diagnosis of pathology and molecular genetics.
Radiotherapy can kill or inhibit the growth of tumor cells and control the development of glioma.
Postoperative radiotherapy combined with temozolomide adjuvant chemotherapy is also the standard treatment for newly diagnosed glioblastoma in adults.
  1, surgical treatment
The principle of surgical treatment of glioma is to remove the tumor tissue as much as possible under the premise of conditions, so as to alleviate the symptoms such as headache, dizziness, jet vomiting and papilla edema caused by intracranial hypertension. Relieve or alleviate related symptoms caused by glioma, such as seizures.
At the same time, the pathological tissue obtained by surgical resection is the main basis for the diagnosis of glioma, and surgical resection also provides conditions for subsequent radiotherapy and chemotherapy.
Glioma, what is glioma, and how is glioma formed?
Although surgical resection of diseased tissue is the main treatment for glioma, surgical treatment is not suitable for all patients. Then, what are the indications and contraindications for tumor resection of glioma?
  Indications
  ●CT or MRI examination suggests that there is a space occupying lesion in the brain;
  The patient showed obvious signs of intracranial hypertension and cerebral hernia;
  There is neurological dysfunction caused by glioma occupying effect;
  There are clear indications of epileptic seizures;
The patient voluntarily underwent surgical resection.
  contraindication
Surgical resection is not suitable for patients with severe dysfunction of heart, lung, liver, kidney and other organs, patients with recurrence after surgical resection, patients with poor physical condition who can not tolerate surgical treatment, and other patients who are not suitable for neurosurgical craniotomy.
In addition, if the tumor is located in the dominant hemisphere, widely invasive growth or unsatisfactory resection, and the nature of the lesion needs to be differentiated, pathological biopsy is feasible if the physical conditions permit and there are no contraindications similar to surgical resection.
  2. Radiotherapy
Radiotherapy can only be performed after the tumor pathology is confirmed.
Glioma, what is glioma, and how is glioma formed?
  High-grade glioma(Ⅲ and Ⅳ)
Surgical treatment is the basic treatment for high-grade glioma. Early radiotherapy after surgical resection can effectively prolong the survival time of patients with high-grade glioma. Generally, radiotherapy and chemotherapy are started 4-6 weeks after surgical resection.
  Low-grade glioma(Grade I and II)
There has been controversy about the indications, timing and dosage of postoperative radiotherapy for low-grade glioma. At present, the follow-up treatment methods are usually determined according to the risk factors of patients’ prognosis.
For patients over 40 years old, with incomplete tumor resection, large tumor and preoperative neurological deficit, radiotherapy and/or chemotherapy are needed as soon as possible after surgical treatment. However, patients younger than 40 years old who have completely removed the tumor do not need early radiotherapy and/or chemotherapy, and can observe their condition and then undergo radiotherapy and chemotherapy after the tumor progresses.
  Recurrent glioma
Whether the recurrent glioma needs radiotherapy or not needs to evaluate the location and size of the tumor to choose the appropriate radiotherapy method.
  3. Drug therapy
Drug therapy includes chemotherapy, molecular targeted therapy and biological immunotherapy. Chemotherapy is a treatment method to kill tumor cells by using chemical drugs, and its clinical application is relatively mature. Molecular targeted therapy, biological immunotherapy and other drug treatments still need more research. Because of the rapid growth and recurrence of high-grade glioma, it is more beneficial to control the disease by individualized chemotherapy as soon as possible after surgical resection.
Glioma, what is glioma, and how is glioma formed?
Basic principles of chemotherapy for glioma
The extent of tumor resection directly affects the effect of chemotherapy. Therefore, chemotherapy is best carried out on the basis of safe resection of tumors to the greatest extent.
In addition to the extent of tumor resection will affect the chemotherapy effect of glioma, chemotherapy time and dosage are equally important, and chemotherapy should be started as soon as possible and in sufficient amount after surgical resection. On the basis of ensuring the safety of treatment, the maximum tolerated dose and reasonable chemotherapy course are adopted to achieve the best treatment effect.
Although chemotherapy is an important means to treat malignant tumors, the drug resistance of tumor cells to chemotherapy drugs will affect the therapeutic effect. Therefore, chemotherapy schemes need to choose drugs with different mechanisms and non-overlapping toxicity for combined chemotherapy to reduce the occurrence of drug resistance.
  5. What’s the latest research progress about glioma?
In 2015, the idea of global adaptive clinical innovation experimental system for glioblastoma (GBMAILE) was put forward, including more than 150 people including clinicians, researchers, biostatisticists, imagers, pathologists, government and business leaders, and patient interest advocates. In June 2019, based on years of cooperation, the Global Adaptive Research Alliance (GCAR) officially launched GBM AGILE.
GBMAILE is a clinical trial system designed for glioblastoma. It is a two-stage, multi-arm experimental platform to evaluate the influence of treatment methods on patients’ survival and leave the trial after the evaluation is completed. In 2019-2020, GBM AGILE was first launched in the United States and Australia, followed by China and other countries. In order to recruit a large number of glioblastoma patients quickly.
With the development of neuroimaging technology, MRI imaging, represented by DCE-MRI (dynamic magnetic resonance enhancement), evaluates the malignant degree of glioma from the imaging characteristics and blood flow distribution characteristics of glioma, which provides more accurate basis for preoperative grading and postoperative evaluation of glioma, and also improves the level of clinical comprehensive diagnosis and treatment of glioma to some extent.
  6. How to find glioma early?
Glioma, like tumors in other parts of the body, is related to genetic factors, environmental factors and other factors, so it is not easy to prevent it. However, it does not mean that there is nothing to do with glioma. The most important thing in the diagnosis and treatment of glioma is to find it early-regular physical examination.
Glioma, what is glioma, and how is glioma formed?
For people over 40 years old, CT, MRI (magnetic resonance imaging) and MRA (magnetic resonance angiography) should be checked regularly, which can not only screen whether there is glioma, but also check whether there is aneurysm and cerebral vascular malformation.
Some patients with chronic diseases such as hypertension and diabetes have a higher risk of brain diseases than the general population, so such people should also pay attention to regular brain health examinations.
In addition, if the following symptoms appear and cannot be relieved in a short time, you must seek medical attention and make screening diagnosis in time.
  1. Headache
With the accelerated pace of modern life and increased pressure, headache symptoms are not uncommon in daily life. However, this kind of headache caused by stress is mostly transient and has a clear inducing reason. If there is persistent headache without obvious inducement, or if the headache is frequent and persistent, you must seek medical examination to determine whether it may be glioma.
  2. Nausea and vomiting
Apart from food and other diseases, brain gliomas can lead to increased intracranial pressure, resulting in nausea, vomiting and other symptoms. Attention should be paid to identification.
Glioma, what is glioma, and how is glioma formed?
  3. Visual impairment
If glioma grows near the optic nerve, or because the tumor infiltrates the optic nerve, it will lead to related optic nerve dysfunction, which can be manifested as blurred vision, diplopia and other visual disorders.
Seven, how to reduce the recurrence of glioma?
Recurrence of tumor is very common. When glioma with low malignancy recurs, there is about 50% possibility that the malignancy will deepen. At this time, the recurrent tumor cells grow rapidly and the malignancy will increase, which is also the main reason for accelerating the death of patients.
Because of the invasive growth of glioma, surgical treatment can not ensure the complete removal of tumor cells, and the residual tumor cells after these operations are the basis of glioma recurrence.
The recurrence of glioma can occur at any time, generally about 6 months after treatment, and the incidence rate is about 36.7%. The treatment-related changes often occur within 3-6 months after radiotherapy and chemotherapy.
However, what needs to be differentiated from glioma recurrence is postoperative false progress, and the incidence of false progress is about 15%-30%. False progress is generally related to radiotherapy and chemotherapy, and it is not a real glioma recurrence. Therefore, patients with pseudo-progress should continue to implement adjuvant therapy, and no special treatment is needed when there are no symptoms.
  1. Identify the symptoms of glioma recurrence.
The recurrence of glioma mainly shows symptoms such as increased intracranial pressure and local damage. The increase of intracranial pressure has no obvious specificity, which is similar to the initial manifestations of glioma, such as headache, dizziness, vomiting, blurred vision, diplopia, etc., and coma can also occur in severe cases; Headache mostly occurs in the early morning, mainly in the forehead and occipital pain. At first, it is intermittent pain. With the growth of the tumor, the degree of headache is gradually aggravated and the duration is gradually extended.
In addition, because the brain tissue is compressed, infiltrated and destroyed by the glioma tumor again, it leads to symptoms such as seizures, dyskinesia, hemiplegia and cognitive dysfunction, which are often accompanied by mental symptoms such as memory loss, inattention, drowsiness and less words.
  2. To reduce the recurrence of glioma, we should do this.
  1) early detection, early diagnosis and early treatment.
Early detection, diagnosis and treatment of glioma is the key to prevent recurrence. The time when glioma is first discovered has an important influence on the recurrence time. If the symptoms of glioma can be identified early and treatment can be started before the disease progresses to the advanced stage, the recurrence time of glioma can be effectively prolonged.
Glioma, what is glioma, and how is glioma formed?
  2) Reasonable selection of comprehensive treatment plan
For patients with glioma who have radiotherapy and chemotherapy, radiotherapy and chemotherapy should be carried out as soon as possible. Studies have shown that postoperative radiotherapy is an important factor affecting the recurrence of glioma, and the interval between recurrence of patients who insist on radiotherapy is generally longer than that of patients who do not receive radiotherapy. Generally, patients with glioma receive regular radiotherapy half a month to one month after surgery.
  3) from the pathogenic occupation and environment
The onset and recurrence of glioma are closely related to environmental and occupational factors. For patients with glioma suspected to be caused by environmental or occupational factors, attention should be paid to getting rid of the environment and occupation that caused the disease, or taking corresponding protection.
  4) enhance the body’s immunity
Proper physical exercise under the guidance of a doctor can enhance the body’s resistance, which is conducive to the recovery of the body after surgery and the prevention of tumor recurrence. Pay attention to moderate exercise, not strenuous exercise.
Glioma, what is glioma, and how is glioma formed?
  5) Develop good living habits
Quit smoking and drinking, maintain a healthy and regular life schedule, and maintain a good mental state. Pay attention to a comprehensive and balanced diet and eat less pickled food.
Glioma is not an incurable disease.Similar to breast cancer, lung cancer, gastric cancer and other tumor diseases, many types of glioma patients can survive for a long time after standardized treatment.
Early detection, early diagnosis and standardization are the keys to the treatment of glioma. For patients with glioma who have been treated, they should learn to observe their physical changes and how to prevent recurrence. Strengthen physical exercise and enhance immunity. In addition, a good attitude is an important factor to overcome the disease. Adjust your attitude, face the disease positively, and establish confidence to overcome the disease.
I believe that in the near future, more and more new treatment technologies and drugs will emerge, and the new research mentioned in this paper will not stop there. Scientists will certainly develop more new treatment methods, and we look forward to more and more unexpected clinical research results in the future.

RELX is eager to launch the "Zero Carbon Journey": 8 major carbon reduction measures to achieve carbon neutrality in the whole value chain in 2050.

On April 26th, RELX Yueke (Wuxin Technology) announced the launch of the "Zero Carbon Journey Aim for Zero" plan: with eight carbon reduction measures, direct operation carbon neutrality will be achieved in 2033 and carbon neutrality in the whole value chain will be achieved in 2050.
Eight carbon reduction measures, carbon neutrality in the whole value chain layout
The carbon footprint of an engraving product covers many aspects such as product design, manufacturing, circulation, sales and product use. In order to integrate the concept of low carbon into the whole life cycle of products, at the production end, we will implement a waste management plan to gradually reduce office waste, production waste and laboratory waste, and plan to reduce the landfill ratio of waste by 30% by 2033 with 2021 as the base year.
At the same time, Yueke will, through management and technological innovation, adopt targeted ways such as improving efficiency and reducing emissions, using renewable energy and carbon offset, so as to achieve net zero emissions of at least one self-owned factory and build a model of zero-carbon factory in 2033, and plan to establish a green supply chain partnership mechanism to encourage supply chain partners to increase the proportion of renewable energy and set phased emission reduction targets. In logistics and packaging procurement, Yueke will also give priority to partners who can provide low-carbon transportation services and green packaging.
In terms of products, Yueke started to reduce carbon from three aspects: reducing plastic, reducing the carbon footprint of products and recycling empty bombs. By 2025, Yueke will eliminate unnecessary disposable plastic packaging, and by 2033, 100% plastic packaging of Yueke products will be reusable, recyclable or degradable. In addition, Yueke is integrating the low-carbon concept into the whole product life cycle, and increasing investment and research and development of low-carbon products by using renewable and recycled materials. By 2025, Yueke will launch at least one zero-carbon product.
Previously, Yueke has always adhered to low-carbon and energy-saving production and operation. According to RELX Yueke Social Responsibility Report 2020-2021, in 2020, the production waste of Yueke Factory decreased by 76% compared with 2019. At the same time, by improving and optimizing the process, the production capacity of Yueke Factory will increase by over 30% in 2020, and the actual unit energy consumption of water, electricity, gas and other energy sources will be effectively reduced by over 20%. In the process of purchasing raw materials and spare parts, Yueke selects all materials that meet or exceed the national environmental protection requirements.
Recycling empty bombs, green stores,Yueke carbon neutral and pay attention to user participation
It is worth mentioning that user participation is also an important part of Yueke’s carbon reduction measures. It is understood that the empty bomb recovery plan that Yueke started in September 2021 will cover the whole country in 2022. At the same time, Yueke also plans to increase the number of empty bombs recovered by 2025 by 200% compared with 2022.
The empty bomb recovery plan was jointly initiated by Yueke and China Siyuan Engineering Foundation for Poverty Alleviation. The reporter learned that the recovery of empty bombs in the e-cigarette industry has always been a difficult problem: traditional treatment methods such as incineration and landfill can not solve the pain points of secondary pollution and waste of resources, but also bring about derivative problems such as land occupation and fly ash.
Yueke, through the collaborative disposal technology of cement kiln, concentrated the recovered empty bombs into cement clinker, which was then made into cement for rural revitalization, realizing the reuse of resources and allowing the empty bombs to exert their residual heat. At present, the first "Siyuan Road for Common Prosperity" has also been built in Chenggenying Village, Huangqi Town, Fengning Manchu Autonomous County, Hebei Province.
The empty bomb recycling plan not only innovatively solves the problem of abandoned empty bombs, but also continuously calls on consumers to practice carbon reduction and green consumption. By the end of April, the project will soon enter 188 cities, with more than 17,000 stores nationwide participating.
In addition, Yueke has also set the goal of building green stores. By setting green store standards, adopting recyclable materials, modular design and energy-saving equipment, Yueke will promote at least one store to obtain green certification by 2023, and gradually promote green stores to the whole country. At the same time, Yueke also encourages employees to work and travel in a low-carbon way.
The goal of "peak carbon dioxide emissions by 2030 and carbon neutrality by 2060" is an accelerator for China to promote energy conservation, emission reduction and low-carbon development, and it is also an important proposition faced by all industries. In January 2022, the State Tobacco Monopoly Bureau issued the "Implementation Opinions", requiring the whole industry to do a solid job in carbon neutrality in peak carbon dioxide emissions and accelerate the green and low-carbon development of the industry. E-cigarette-related enterprises also have the responsibility to actively set carbon neutral targets and take cumulative actions.
As a member of society, how to balance economic development and environmental protection is an unavoidable challenge for enterprises. Wang Ying, founder and CEO of Yueke, said: "In the future, Yueke will uphold the concept of sustainable development, actively practice the concept of green operation in every link, and help the national peak carbon dioxide emissions carbon neutral strategy with practical actions."
(According to TUV Rheinland certification, Yueke has achieved carbon neutrality in the operation of three office laboratories in 2021.)
(RELX is pleased to engrave the 8 major measures of "Zero Carbon Journey". )

Behind the "Stop-watch Event" of bilibili UP: Is the collective stop more real? Last year, 9.1 billion was distributed to UP owners?

"From today on, we will stop."

Recently, the up owner "King Xu who lives by his face" with nearly 4 million fans in bilibili released a video saying that he would stop for a while in the future. Another up owner, "-lks-", who has more than 3 million fans, also publicly announced that he would temporarily stop watching.

Two million fans, the up owners, have successively announced that they will stop working, which has attracted the attention of the outside world. On April 2nd, it was reported that a number of up owners intensively and publicly announced the suspension of updates, and "bilibili up owners initiated a wave of suspension of updates" also rushed to Weibo for hot search.

However, an insider in bilibili explained to the The Paper reporter that the statement of "stopping the shift" is not accurate. Only some up stops for personal reasons, and it is not a collective behavior. On the afternoon of the 2nd, "King Xu, who relies on his face to eat" also responded in Weibo: "Today, these two hot searches are a bit inexplicable, and I don’t know who arranged them. The reason why I stopped working is very clear in my video, all of which are my personal reasons."

"I’ve been making videos for more than ten years, and bilibili is just one of my publishing platforms, so I have nothing to do with bilibili if I stop. It’s purely my personal business. Moreover, engaging in content creation is actually no different from ordinary work. It is normal for some people to make money and others to lose money. It is not necessary to make a fuss about people from all walks of life. " "King Xu who lives by his face" wrote in Weibo.

In Weibo, "-lks-" said that the individual’s announcement to stop the shift has nothing to do with the economic situation, and the income in bilibili this year is no less than before.

Collective stop?

The decrease in income makes up owners "unable to make money"

"It’s hard to say that there is a collective stoppage of up owners, but the decline of mid-level up owners is clear, and it didn’t start recently." In an interview with a reporter from The Paper, bilibili up said, "Cat sauce that doesn’t eat grass and peppers".

In the view of "cat sauce that doesn’t eat grass and pepper", since bilibili adjusted the internal incentive mechanism last year, the platform income of up owners has become less and less. Generally, up owners don’t expect to make money through bilibili. "Poor works have no income, and good works have no income. I am sorry to pay, and the total income after incentive adjustment has dropped by more than 30%."

"The main reason for stopping the shift is that it is indeed impossible to make money, and it is even more impossible to make money than in previous years." He said frankly.

The Paper reporter learned that the revenue sources that up owners can get from bilibili are divided into two parts. One part is related to video submission, including punch-in challenges, video creation incentives and other projects, and the other part is related to advertising and promotion with goods, including advertising sharing, offering a reward for goods, fireworks business list and other projects. In addition, there are similar forms of fans’ "charging".

Since last year, bilibili has changed the creative incentive rules of up owners for many times. A large number of up owners reported that their income was reduced on social platforms, and even some up owners claimed that their income was reduced by 90% at the highest. For example, Master Tree, the owner of up, said that the video he played in bilibili for 100,000 yuan at most, but after the revision, the income of the new video compared with the same data decreased by more than 40%.

"In fact, bilibili’s video playback revenue was the highest in the whole network before, and 1 yuan’s income was almost 300 (times). Now it is expected that the creator’s investment will be reduced due to financial pressure." A content industry practitioner revealed to reporters, "From the results, bilibili has reduced the general investment in up owners, especially the waist up owners with the highest proportion, and gradually strengthened the right to speak on the head and middle up owners."

The reporter found that video creation incentives are an important part of up owners’ income through bilibili, but bilibili has not published a clear calculation formula.

The data shows that with nearly 1.5 million fans, the up owner "Feng Ge is on the run", with an average video click volume of about 1 million and the update frequency of 3-4 days, but the total income last year was only 70,000 yuan. According to another waist up owner, the 22 videos he created have a total broadcast volume of nearly 700,000, but the income is only more than 1,000 yuan. "Cat sauce that doesn’t eat grass pepper" takes its own works as an example. Since March last year, the team has created more than 100 videos, with a total income of less than 3,000 yuan.

Last year, 9.1 billion yuan was distributed to up owners. Is that enough?

In addition to official incentives, another important income comes from advertising revenue obtained by up owners. According to several up owners, the positioning of the platform in bilibili is different from that in Tik Tok. The platform allows creators to implant advertisements in videos, which can earn extra advertising revenue at the same time with low share. "However, not everyone’s videos are suitable for advertising. bilibili’s share of my overall income is very low, and it only accounts for less than 1% of your total income." "Cat sauce that doesn’t eat grass peppers" revealed.

However, influenced by multiple factors such as the external environment, the number of advertisements received by up owners has also decreased in recent years. "In the past two years, the competition in the industry has been increasing, and more and more people have entered the market. If you don’t strive for innovation and change, you will easily be eliminated." A waist up owner revealed to reporters, "On the other hand, the rise of short video platforms has also divided the use time of users’ bilibili, so that the chances of receiving business orders have dropped." In his view, the rise of new technologies such as artificial intelligence has also accelerated the "survival of the fittest" of the industry itself.

Bilibili’s constant adjustment of the incentive mechanism may be related to its annual revenue losses. On March 2nd, Billie Billie (nasdaq: bili, 09626.hk) released the unaudited financial report for the fourth quarter and the whole year as of December 31st, 2022. According to the financial report, the total revenue of bilibili in fiscal year 2022 increased by 13% year-on-year to 21.9 billion yuan, and the annual net loss was 7.5 billion yuan, up by 10% year-on-year. In the fourth quarter of last year, the revenue reached 6.14 billion yuan, up 6% year-on-year, and the net loss was 1.5 billion yuan, down 29% year-on-year.

"It is expected that in 2023, our overall loss will be narrowed more obviously, and the goal of breakeven will be achieved in 2024." In the conference call after the earnings report, bilibili ceo Rui Chen said.

It is worth noting that the financial report shows that in 2022, the operating cost of bilibili was as high as 18 billion yuan, up 18% year-on-year (the operating cost in the fourth quarter was 4.9 billion yuan, up 4% compared with the same period in 2021). bilibili said that the increase was mainly caused by the increase in revenue sharing cost and content cost. Among them, revenue sharing is mainly an incentive or sharing for up owners in live broadcast and advertising business, reaching 9.1 billion yuan, an increase of 18%.

According to Zhongtai Securities Research Report, at present, bilibili’s business is divided into four parts, namely, mobile games, value-added services, advertising, e-commerce and others, among which value-added services and advertising will become the focus of bilibili’s future revenue growth. Value-added services are divided into paid subscription and live broadcast reward. Paid members are subject to the supply of ogv content (professional copyright works exclusively purchased and played). Under the background of reducing costs and increasing efficiency, it is expected that the growth rate will gradually slow down, and live broadcast will become the core growth point. It is estimated that the compound annual growth rate of revenue of this business in the next three years will be 20.1%. Effect advertising is the focus of growth, and it is estimated that the compound annual growth rate of revenue in three years is 20.5%.

Let the respondents write their own reports? These "coping investigations" need to be rectified urgently!

"Cutting investigation", "slacking investigation" and "submitting investigation" … Be wary of "coping investigation"
Investigation and study are the basis of seeking something and the way to accomplish it. Since the beginning of this year, all localities and departments have thoroughly implemented the requirements of the central authorities, continued to be pragmatic, practical and effective in deepening investigation and research, and vigorously promoted investigation and research to solve problems.
A reporter’s recent visit for half a month found that a few localities and departments deviated from the original intention of research, conducted research for the sake of research, simply dealt with it, and did not pay attention to the actual results of research. Some left the task of writing reports to the respondents, some focused on "soft persimmons" in question selection, and some just asked for "handing in papers" to complete the task. Experts believe that these "coping investigations" are not aimed at finding real problems and really solving them, and they are ineffective in promoting practical work and need to be rectified urgently.
"hands-on investigation": people leave the report but stay.
Wang Jun (pseudonym), a cadre of a city directly under the central government, has been very upset recently. He told reporters who talked for half a month with his fingers broken. In just 20 working days in June, they received 27 field investigations by their counterparts at higher levels. Some of them visited five points in one day, and the time spent on the road was longer than the investigation time. "I rushed to the field and didn’t have time to talk. When I left, I only asked for materials, and some even left us with the task of writing research reports."
"Achievements, experiences, problems and suggestions must be available, and there must be no shortage of vivid cases of seeing people and seeing things." A township cadre in a certain place told a reporter who talked for half a month that in the past month, they have received more than a dozen tasks of investigating and researching materials, all of which are very detailed, and some directly request to provide research reports.
Sometimes the materials are not finished. A grassroots cadre said: "Sometimes it needs to be checked at multiple levels, and the higher authorities can’t afford to offend. We can only modify it according to the requirements, but most township cadres’ writing level is not high, and it is simply beyond their power to write new materials."
Some grassroots cadres admit that they are more afraid of "people coming" than material circulation. The cadre told reporters who talked for half a month that if "people come", they not only need to prepare introduction materials in advance, but also need to "rehearse" in advance according to the itinerary, and they need to be carefully prepared from cleaning to site layout. "There was a time when a leader investigated the practice of civilization in the new era in the village under his jurisdiction. Originally, all the work was quite good, but because he mistakenly wrote the practice station as a practice station, he left a bad impression on the leader. I can’t remember the right one, and I can’t forget the wrong one, which is equivalent to the previous work being busy. "
"The key is to be accompanied by layers." A primary school principal told a reporter who talked for half a month that once a deputy district head who was not in charge of education came to the school for investigation, he became angry because the director of education did not accompany him. Now the higher authorities come to investigate, not only the school leaders, but also the main leaders and leaders in charge of the Education Bureau.
"lazy investigation": specializing in old problems and not touching new contradictions
Half a month’s interview with reporters found that some people were "lazy" in the choice of research content and subject matter.
On the one hand, some people investigate and specialize in pinching "rotten persimmons" without touching the real contradiction. A cadre of forestry system told a reporter who talked for half a month that many research outlines are the same, and the problems have no individuality. Most of the research conclusions focus on common-sense problems, but involve problems that some research departments can directly solve, such as "insufficient afforestation space and too many planned indicators", which are often avoided.
Some financial cadres also feel the same way. For the common sense problems in the industry such as the performance of financial funds and the reform of zero-based budget, the higher-level research departments often mention that the problems that the grassroots expect to solve, such as debt situation and financial "three guarantees" funds, are rarely involved.
On the other hand, some cadres imitate their superiors in their research on "topic selection" and dare not "start a new stove". A certain bureau in the north has 11 departments and less than 20 establishments, but it corresponds to 3 departments and more than 40 offices in the province. The director said that if we don’t arrange it for the next two days, there will be 50 or 60 documents at all levels.
"In fact, some surveys are all old problems, and the situation is clear. Research is a’ supplementary procedure’, which is convenient for submitting manuscripts, paying accounts and handing in jobs." The director said that regarding the research topic, the superior leaders investigated what, and he also conducted "research on the same topic", afraid to start a new stove again, otherwise it would be "bullying" the material staff.
In view of this kind of research that focuses on old problems without touching new contradictions, some places have built "classic research routes" and "bonsai research sites" like tourist routes. No matter what research topics, they all go to the same route, interview the same group of people and listen to the same set of rhetoric.
A person in charge of a typical grass-roots window unit in China told reporters who talked for half a month that they had to receive several surveys every week in the near future, so they had to prepare a set of "universal materials" for "professional explanation".
"submission survey": quantity is not quality.
A number of grassroots cadres told reporters who talked for half a month that the investigation and research mainly gave the above "papers" and rarely gave feedback to the grassroots. A cadre of a municipal unit told reporters that the higher authorities were willing to reflect the problems before they came to investigate, but there was no feedback and no splash when they mentioned more, and even whoever raised the problems would solve them, which would only cause trouble. "If you say too much, you won’t say it. If you ask about the situation, you will just sayno."
In addition to the confusion at the grassroots level, many researchers are also confused. Many leading cadres interviewed by reporters for half a month admitted that the end point of their investigation was to "hand in the report and complete the task". A cadre said that each office undertakes the research task, and besides the leaders, it also has its own. After the summary of the research reports of various departments, it will be a very large number, and there is indeed doubt about how much these reports can play.
Interviewed experts such as Guang Xu Jian, a professor at the School of Public Administration of Renmin University of China, and Yin Limin, dean of the School of Public Policy and Management of Nanchang University, said that the bad research tendency in practical work is not for solving problems, but for research, which is putting the cart before the horse and seriously violates the original intention of research. Some cadres are unwilling to do in-depth and detailed investigation and study, and are unwilling to do elaborate basic work. In essence, they are still formalism and bureaucracy that are divorced from the masses and reality.
Investigation and research are tools, means and methods, the core of which is to find and solve problems, and the final result depends on whether the problems are solved well or not. Experts said that in order to promote the investigation and research, we must really go deep into the grassroots and the masses, find the right solution to the problem, and use the research results to concentrate on solving a number of outstanding problems that need development, are urgent for reform, are expected by the grassroots and are expected by the people.

The unreasonable arrears of online loans were collected for credit information, which was actually a disaster caused by changing the mobile phone number! How should users defend their rights? | 3.15 S

Reporter | Zeng Yanglin Zou Luhui
You don’t need to run a bank, you don’t need to provide guarantees and mortgages, you can get credit services by filling in information with your fingers or even filling in a mobile phone verification code. The emergence of Internet loan platform provides convenience for people who need capital turnover, but there are also many hidden dangers under the high convenience.
With the approach of International Consumer Protection Day on March 15th, complaints related to online loans are also emerging one after another. Some complainants reported that they didn’t borrow money through the online platform, but they suffered a lot of troubles because of the change of mobile phone number. What happened?
Inexplicably owed by online loans, can old and new owners share an account?
A few days ago, a sword net three players posted that their white account had an overdue debt of up to 10 thousand yuan for no reason, which caused a lot of discussion.
The user "Zhi Qingci" said in the post that he received a strange WeChat on March 1, telling him that there was a debt overdue for 116 days on the white note registered with his mobile phone number, amounting to 11,633.93 yuan.
But to her surprise, although I registered white strip products in college, I never used them. In addition, the mobile phone number for registration was abandoned at the end of 2018. It stands to reason that this white account should also be abandoned; However, after the query of "Zhi Qing Ci", it was learned that this account that should have been unused had a 1 yuan money expenditure in August 2020 and September 2020, and in October 2020, there were 14 expenditures with a total amount of 10,991.82, and the accumulated amount of these expenditures has reached 11,633.93 yuan.
Being loaned for no reason, she immediately called Baitiao customer service and stated the above facts. The customer service staff told her that if the account registered by her mobile phone number is not untied or cancelled, even if the mobile phone number has been cancelled, the account will continue to use her identity information when it is activated by the new account owner again.
"Zhi Qing Ci" said that the day after posting, it attracted the attention of the white note, and the customer service verification information of the other party confirmed that the theft was true, and the account arrears had been cancelled.
Can the old and new owners of a mobile phone number share an account?
"Zhi Qing Ci" is not an isolated case. Under the reply of this post, many people also share similar experiences.
Some netizens reported that the new number just handled received a notice from the former owner to buy take-out and take a taxi on the Internet platforms such as Meituan and Didi; Some netizens reported that the newly-processed mobile phone number actually passed the verification code and landed on many Internet platforms with personal information, including Weibo and Baidu.
The existence of such loopholes not only allows personal privacy to be obtained by strangers without my knowledge, but also exposes consumer credit services to risks.
Especially at the moment when credit services are becoming more convenient, credit services can be completed only by obtaining the identity information and verification code. If the platform and telecom operators fail to synchronize information in time, it is not an isolated case that "Zhi Qing Ci" carries loans for no reason.
Interface news found that not only IOUs, but also cases of other platform users carrying loans for no reason abound.
Teng, a freshman in Nanjing, applied for a campus card of China Unicom when he entered school in September 2020. Since then, he has been harassed by phone calls and text messages.
"Sometimes when I was in class, the phone calls came one after another, and several times when I was sleeping, the other party called, which led to a serious decline in my sleep quality for a while." Teng told the interface journalist that there is a rule in these collection calls, that is, after a call is not connected, a serial call will be opened.
According to Teng, these collection calls all point to Gitzo Consumer Finance Co., Ltd., but he himself did not borrow money from the company. Different from the "Zhi Qing Ci", it is not the new owner of the mobile phone number that is overdue this time, but the former owner Lu Mou.
In addition to being harassed by telephone, Teng often receives short messages from Huaxia Bank and a law firm, and the borrowers shown in the short messages are the names of other debtors-Zhang and Liu. In addition, there are two students around Teng who have similar experiences.
In this regard, Teng contacted China Unicom, but the customer service only responded to let him ignore these calls and text messages, and did not give a solution. As a result, Teng, who was overwhelmed, complained about Gitzo Consumer Finance Company on the Internet complaint platform on March 2, but has not received the other party’s reply so far.
For the above situation, the interface journalist contacted Gitzo Consumer Finance Company. After verifying the relevant situation, the customer service of the company suspended the collection of the complainant. In addition, a related person from Gitzo Consumer Finance Company told reporters that if there is a similar situation in the future, it is recommended that the parties contact the company’s official customer service phone number and also explain the situation to the telecommunications company.
How can users protect their rights and interests when unpaid debts are collected for credit information?
The parties who owe money for no reason often face the trouble of being collected before the matter is solved. In the collection phone records displayed by Teng, at most, 10 harassing calls will be received a day.
"Every time I tell the other party on the phone that I have nothing to do with this person, when the mobile phone number has changed hands, the other party often hangs up without listening to the explanation, but will continue to harass me by phone." Teng said.
Also harassed by the collection phone, there is Mr. Zhang who has been filled as an emergency contact because of his arrears. Since February, an Internet lending platform has called many times to inform his former colleague Wan that he owed money on the platform and asked Mr. Zhang to help him contact.
Although Mr. Zhang has repeatedly told the collection staff that Wan is his former colleague, the two sides have not contacted for a long time, and they can’t contact him at present. But I still get 2-3 collection calls every day, which seriously affects my work and life.
Mr. Zhang also posted his experience on the Internet complaint platform, but the complaint has not been resolved so far.
Is this kind of harassment of telephone collection illegal? In the face of the harassment of collection without loans, how should the parties defend their rights after repeatedly explaining that the situation is fruitless?
Dorri, a lawyer of Beijing Yingke Law Firm, suggested that the parties can collect evidence when they receive harassing calls and report to the police station in their jurisdiction.
Dorri reminded that when answering the phone, the parties should pay attention to starting the telephone recording function and collect the following information: 1. The name of the collection person and the name of the collection company; 2. Harassing people’s fixed telephone; 3. The phone shows that I have nothing to do with the arrears; 4. Warn the other party not to call again for harassment. If you call again for more than 2 times, you will call the police. In addition, when calling the police, you should pay attention to: providing the above telephone recordings as evidence shows that you have explicitly refused and are still disturbed by the other party for more than three times, and the other party’s behavior has seriously affected my normal life.
A senior lawyer suggested that the infringed party can take the dispute of privacy as the cause of action and bring it to the people’s court with jurisdiction, demanding the other party to take one or more measures to bear civil liability, such as stopping the infringement, apologizing and compensating for losses, and have the right to apply to the people’s court for measures to order the actor to stop the relevant behavior according to law. The lawyer said that because the lawsuit takes too long, it is suggested that the infringed party can apply to the court at the same time to take measures to order the perpetrator to stop the relevant behavior, such as issuing an injunction against personality rights.
However, in addition to collecting telephone harassment, whether the extra loans for no reason will affect their own credit information is related to the vital interests of users.
At the bottom of the post of "Zhi Qing Ci", according to her prompt, some netizens also inquired about their identity information and found that they owed more than 100 yuan for no reason, which has been reported to the credit bureau.
What should I do if this loophole is exploited by people with ulterior motives? The "Zhi Qing Ci" that has solved its own problems reminds everyone to take more precautions. In her post, she said that I hope everyone will take a warning. After I don’t use this mobile phone number, I may be inherited by the new owner. It is best to check with the platform customer service that there are several accounts under my ID card, and whether they are all opened by myself. Feedback to the customer service in time.
She also said that she had given feedback to the customer service: "Can you add a function of re-verifying your identity without logging in to a common device? I hope that everyone will not encounter similar things in the future."
Some netizens summed up the lesson below and said, "If you want to change your mobile phone number, remember to cancel Alipay and WeChat, which are registered with your mobile phone number. Usually, you should not change your mobile phone number easily. If you don’t use your mobile phone number in other places, you can stop the phone number. Write it down in a small notebook and write it down in the memo. If you want to change your mobile phone number, you must first change the money-related one or cancel it."
