On February 4, 2024, all users of Avita 12 turned on the urban NCA that does not rely on high-precision maps, achieving Huawei’s smart driving ceiling and bringing users a new smart driving experience that "can be driven all over the country, safe and easy to drive". All Avita 12 series come standard with global sensing hardware including 3 lidars, which represents the highest standard hardware level in the industry. This OTA upgrade adds a number of functions to Avita 12’s intelligent driving and active safety, making urban NCA as easy to deal with as an "old driver", not only making intelligent driving more comfortable, but also safer.
This time, HUAWEI ADS 2.0 advanced intelligent driving system, targeting intelligent driving, active safety capabilities, and user pain points such as intelligent parking, adds a side-active safety function LOCP, a new NCA Mute function for first-time use guidelines, NCA automatically rises to the road speed limit, NCA drives into the toll booth to reduce speed, and hands-off reminder option functions, etc., to make the smart driving experience more complete and user-friendly. At the same time, AVP is upgraded to make parking better and more worry-free.
Among them, especially for ADS lateral active safety upgrade: the new lateral active safety function LOCP, when the vehicle is at risk of collision with obstacles such as drainage horses and fences, the system will automatically trigger emergency intervention automatic steering avoidance, timely action to avoid or reduce the risk of collision, in addition, the lateral anti-collision function configuration item also adds obstacles and solid line options.
In this OTA upgrade, NCA is added to automatically rise to the road speed limit, making it easy to pass as quickly as possible within the speed limit range. The APP adds the function of NCA Mute for first-time use, freely switching between NCA and LCC modes, and the smart driving path is freely controlled.

For AVP upgrades, you only need to walk through the parking lot once, choose the collection parking space by default, enter the map to directly calculate the route and activate AVP, and the central control screen can also display the AVP interface, making the parking experience more comfortable; after the upgrade, AVP can also be activated in the parking space, supporting the same basement from A parking space to B parking space, allowing users to enjoy the ease of freeing their hands from entering the parking lot.
