CCTV News:On June 8th, the Ministry of Housing and Urban-Rural Development, the Ministry of Finance and the People’s Bank of China released the Annual Report of National Housing Provident Fund in 2022. The report shows that the housing provident fund system has covered 169 million people in China, and the efforts to buy rent and support depositors to solve basic housing problems have been increasing.
The report shows that in 2022, there were 4,527,200 paid-in units of housing provident fund and 169,795,700 paid-in employees, up by 8.80% and 3.31% respectively over the previous year. Six cities, including Chongqing, have steadily promoted flexible employees to participate in the pilot work of the housing provident fund system. A total of 220,300 flexible employees have paid the housing provident fund, of which new citizens and young people account for more than 70%. In terms of provident fund loans, 2,477,500 housing provident fund loans were issued nationwide, with a total amount of 1.18 trillion yuan, and the loan interest rate was 0.9&mdash lower than the loan market quotation rate (LPR) in the same period; 1.35 percentage points, saving the lender about 208.902 billion yuan in interest expenses. It is worth noting that recently, Beijing, Foshan, Guangdong and other places have successively increased the withdrawal amount of provident fund for renting houses. Among them, for families with many children, Beijing can withdraw the provident fund according to the actual monthly rent, which is not limited by the monthly deposit.
